The Beach Music Journal

Up

The Only place I can imagine to find some of these things are in your scrapbooks, photo albums, and closets!

Look around.  If you have any of these items that I can make copies of for the Dancing On the Edge book series (coming over the next few months), please contact me.

Any one of them is worth your choice of Shaggin' In the Carolinas or a set of the Beach Music Guide 1945-2006.

We're in Search of:

The late Jimmy Michau, Georgetown and ..... ?

Jimmy was in a band in the mid-60s which played a number of pavilions and Universities in the Southeast.  Jimmy died for his country all too soon in the Vietnam conflict. We'd like to learn which band (s) he was in and anything else about his history.  To our best reckoning, Jimmy was a devoted musician.  We want to provide in his memory the acknowledgment he deserves.  Pictures, stories, contacts in the band wanted.

If you have pictures or other memorabilia that you are concerned for, contact me at johnhook@mindspring.com and we'll talk about how to make good digital copies so you don't endanger your valuable artifacts.
